Bauerfeind is a family-owned company that’s proud of its traditional roots. It sets itself apart with its modern solutions in the medical aid industry that enable an active and pain-free life, whether it’s with a support or an orthosis, with medical compression stockings or orthopedic foot orthoses.
Quality “Made in Germany”
The medium-sized company was founded in 1929 in Zeulenroda (Thuringia, Germany) and is one of the market leaders in its industry: Bauerfeind employs around 2,000 members of staff worldwide and is represented by subsidiaries in over 20 countries. The products are exclusively made in Germany and are partly manufactured by hand before being sent all over the world. They fulfil the most stringent requirements in terms of quality, effectiveness, and wearing comfort. This is confirmed by regular inspection procedures, for which our products are permitted to bear the seals and marks after successful testing.
Brand ambassador Dirk Nowitzki
Our partnership with Dirk Nowitzki began in January 2016. He is the first global brand ambassador for Bauerfeind AG. The importance of family, a down-to-earth attitude, and a love of sports are what unite Bauerfeind and the basketball superstar. Dirk Nowitzki was a fan of Bauerfeind products long before the official partnership, saying: “I have to be able to rely on my body and Bauerfeind helps me to do that. Its products are world-class.”
Global partners in the world of sport
Expertise, the desire to succeed, and team spirit are all values that Bauerfeind promotes. Elite athletes around the world rely on these high-quality products. It has also become hard to imagine the Olympic Games without Bauerfeind. The company has been a firm fixture of Olympic medical care since 2002: Initially, Bauerfeind offered its orthopedic services exclusively to German athletes but since 2010, the company has been responsible for treating athletes from all participating countries as a partner of the relevant organizing committee. Most recently, Bauerfeind successfully treated athletes at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
