The newest generation of the AchilloTrain Achilles tendonitis ankle brace uses an innovative massage pad and medical-grade compression knit fabric to support the foot and relieve chronic, post-traumatic and post-operative pain and inflammation. With an instep comfort zone, pressure-reduced edges and a new integrated donning aid, the brace provides premium wearing comfort while being easy to put on and remove. The AchilloTrain includes optional heel wedges to be placed inside the shoe for additional relief.

I developed Achilles tendonitis after taking the antibiotic, Ciprofloxacin.
I could only just walk around the house.
This brace stops footwear digging into the tendon and has helped me recover.
I wear it for sport and any outdoors walking.
It won’t fit in my ski boot but I sail, mountain bike, and walk in town and countryside with it.

It was supportive and comfortable but still left me with an aching achilles.
The big problem was removing it and ended with my wife struggling to remove it after I failed. Due to this I will be returning the item and seeking a refund.

The support was super comfortable and has meant I can walk with a normal gait again. I am no longer in pain putting on shoes / walking. It has meant I can exercise more fully and don't need to worry that I am developing a limping habit!

Love this product and the sports one. I would say that this one is a bit firmer in support with the optional gel heal inserts for your shoe. Walking 4 huskies this has been a life saver for my achilles tendinitis. Only thing is after wearing for 8+ hours it will leave an indentation in the skin therefore recommend wearing it for when you need too to avoid marks on the lower leg.
I have been wearing the achillotrain ankle brace for 3 weeks now, and have noticed a vast improvement in my stability and the pain has subsided. I have a very physical job, involving heavy lifting etc l, and the ankle braces have definitely helped in my day to work. I had to remove one of my insoles to achieve the correct posture, as my hips were starting to ache, but after this no problems. They are well made and, with the addition of the application aid, which makes for easy putting on I would highly recommend.

I’m still watching video of how to put it on. Some videos say the gel pad goes under the heel but I think it’s supposed to come up the Achilles tendon.

Product is great. the only reason for not giving 5 stars is there is no explanation on the website of the specific method of putting the sock on and I had great difficulties until I noticed the additional item in the package which I had assumed was part of the packing.
The brace is very supportive. The only thing it's started is it's loosing a bit of elasticity at calf end of the brace. I've only been wearing it for 2 weeks.
I have had achilles tendonitis on both legs for about 7 years and it recently got much worse. My left achilles eventually ruptured while playing football in April 2025. I had to stop exercising completely for a few months. I was desperate to get back to playing football so I bought 2 of these for both achilles. I was sceptical at first but after a little research I bought them and I can say they are absolutely amazing, I wore them every day for a few weeks just for walking and then gradually I noticed the pain was dying down until I didn't feel pain anymore. I started playing football 3 weeks ago and feel I am getting stronger, I don't have the same pain and stiffness the following day or two after that I used to have and I feel confident enough to sprint again now. I am still taking it easy but the AchilloTrain is definitely speeding up the healing process.
I am very impressed with this brace. Walking has immediately become more comfortable.

What happens if I order the wrong size?
Send it back within 30 days for a full refund, or email orders@jointoperations.co.uk and we'll swap it for the right size.
Measuring before you order is the quickest route - the size finder on this page turns two tape-measure numbers into a size in about twenty seconds.
Can I wear it under clothing?
Yes. The knit is low-profile and designed to sit under trousers, leggings or a tracksuit without bunching. Most people wear it all day without anyone noticing.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle with any fasteners closed. No fabric softener and no tumble drying - dry it flat, away from direct heat.
Washing it regularly actually helps: it lifts the body oils out of the knit and the compression holds its shape for longer.
How long should I wear it for?
Most people wear a support during activity and take it off to sleep. If a clinician recommended it to you, follow their guidance - they'll have a plan for your particular situation.
If you've bought it yourself for ongoing pain and you're not sure, it's worth getting the underlying problem looked at rather than relying on the support alone.
